Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sending the Public Utilities Commission a letter on electric reliability. Abbott told commissioners they needed to redesign incentives to foster development of power sources like coal, nuclear, and natural gas. He also asked the PUC to make sure the Electric Reliability Council of Texas create a maintenance schedule for all non-renewable energy electricity generators in hopes of preventing artificial power shortages. The governor is also telling the PUC to assess “reliability costs” to electric generators, which cannot provide a minimum amount of power at any given time, particularly renewable energy generators.

I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog.
