Tauck—a veteran leader in upscale, guided tours and cruises—is expanding its partnership with Rocky Mountaineer to introduce two new North American adventures that each feature a scenic 2-day rail component while celebrating the the vast and fascinating western regions of both the U.S. and Canada.
Clients can take Salt Lake City to Denver by Rocky Mountaineer to experience a stay at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, visiting nearby Park City—once a bustling mining town—before continuing to Moab where they will explore Dead Horse Point State Park, enjoy a flightseeing excursion over Canyonlands National Park, then choose between gentle whitewater rafting or a rugged 4×4 off-road tour.
After time exploring Arches National Park the following day (Day 5 of Tauck’s itinerary), guests will board their Rocky Mountaineer train to Colorado, where they’ll stay a night in Glenwood Springs before traversing the Continental Divide and discovering the wonders of Denver via their base at The Four Seasons Hotel Denver.
The Rocky Mountaineer Traverses Western Canada
Tauck’s second new journey, The Best of Western Canada & Rocky Mountaineer, features accommodations in four Fairmont Properties, including the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, where amazing excursions will include a breathtaking Ice Explorer trip atop the Athabasca Glacier.
From there, clients will board the Rocky Mountaineer for the journey to Vancouver, enjoying premier Gold Leaf seating and panoramic windows in the upper level of a glass-domed coach, where they’ll enjoy lunch followed by an overnight in Kamloops, BC.
