The Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music has recently unveiled its lineup for the upcoming 62nd season. The festival, which will run from July 29 to August 11 in Santa Cruz, CA, will feature a variety of vocal performances.
The season will kick off with a world premiere of Karim Al-Zand’s opera “Al Hakawati,” conducted by Cristian Măcelaru. Soprano Miriam Khalil will serve as the soloist for this exciting debut. In addition to this opera in progress, the program will also include works by composers Vivian Fung and Helen Grime.
