The Ecobank Group has announced the launch of the seventh edition of its Fintech Challenge, offering a total of US,000 in prize money to participants. Ecobank is a prominent pan-African banking group that caters to more than 32 million customers in various sectors across 35 African countries.
The annual Fintech Challenge provides both early-stage and mature startups with the opportunity to collaborate with Ecobank in those 35 countries. This initiative, now in its fifth year, aims to support fintech startups aligned with the bank’s strategic goals. The winning startups not only stand to receive a cash prize of US,000 but also get the chance to partner with Ecobank and scale their solutions.
Fintech companies and developers from any of Africa’s 54 countries, as well as global Africa-focused fintech startups, are invited to participate in the Fintech Challenge by submitting their entries before the deadline on July 7 via the official website.
Following the finals and awards ceremony set for October 2022, ten finalists will be selected to join the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship. Last year, Cameroon’s Koree emerged as the winner of the competition.
