The Music at the Boardwalk festival in Abu Dhabi, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi), has wrapped up after a successful six-month run. This festival brought together over 800 free concerts at 20 different locations, captivating tens of thousands of music lovers.
The event featured talented musicians from various parts of the country, including students from the Bait Al Oud Academy and DCT Abu Dhabi’s Mawhibaty initiative. These platforms provided aspiring musicians with the opportunity to showcase their skills and accelerate their musical careers. One of the festival highlights was a captivating performance by the cover band Music Travel Love, which drew a crowd of over 3,000 fans at Mamsha Al Saadiyat.
The festival also hosted the ‘Let the Stars Shine’ singing competition in collaboration with Music Travel Love and The Fridge Entertainment, where emerging Emirati singer Jameela Alghareebi emerged as a winner. She collaborated with Music Travel Love on a cover of ‘Heal the World,’ alongside other talented artists who graced the festival stage.
The festival’s accompanying video series, including hits like ‘Let it Be’ and ‘This is our Land,’ showcased the beauty of Abu Dhabi and the musical talents of the nation. These videos have collectively garnered millions of views on YouTube and have received a positive response from viewers.
