Boulder Valley School District Launches Back-to-School Enrollment Help Center for Families

As the new school year approaches, the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) has announced the opening of a dedicated enrollment support center aimed at assisting families with the various processes associated with back-to-school preparation. This initiative underscores the district’s commitment to ensuring all families have the resources and support to facilitate a smooth transition into the academic year.

The BVSD Help Center will operate on August 7, 8, 11, and 12, providing families with crucial assistance regarding enrollment issues, open enrollment applications, and applications for free and reduced lunch programs. In an effort to accommodate the diverse community in Boulder, the center will also employ bilingual staff to ensure effective communication with non-English speaking families.

Located at the Professional Development Center at 6500 E. Arapahoe Road in Boulder, the Help Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each of the designated days. Families can visit without an appointment, enhancing accessibility and convenience for those needing assistance. For additional inquiries, parents and guardians can reach out via email at enrollment.helpdesk@bvsd.org or by calling 720-561-5247.

While the Help Center provides a range of enrollment-related services, it is important to note that support for transportation and IT assistance for Chromebooks will not be available on-site. Families requiring transportation support are urged to contact the district’s transportation department by emailing transportation@bvsd.org or calling 720-561-5120.

This initiative comes at a vital time, as many families confront challenges related to housing stability and access to essential resources for their children’s education. By establishing a centralized support system, the Boulder Valley School District aims to mitigate some of these barriers, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to start the school year equipped for success.

As enrollment deadlines approach, BVSD’s proactive measures to assist families exemplify the district’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment. The Help Center not only serves as a hub of resources but also embodies the district’s commitment to community engagement and advocacy for all students and their families. As the school year draws near, BVSD encourages families to take advantage of this resource to ensure a smooth and successful start to the academic year.
