Expansion of Save Mart Through Instacart Services.

Instacart and The Save Mart Companies have announced an expanded omnichannel partnership, introducing several new in-store solutions to enhance the shopping experience for customers. This partnership will see the introduction of Instacart’s AI-powered smart carts, known as Caper Carts, across select Save Mart and Lucky stores. These smart carts feature interactive screens that engage customers, track spending, and offer access to loyalty programs and coupons.

Additionally, Instacart’s FoodStorm order management system will be implemented in Save Mart and Lucky stores, allowing customers to place orders for made-to-order items such as fried chicken and custom cakes directly on the Caper Cart screen while they shop.

The Save Mart Companies will also upgrade to Instacart’s Storefront Pro, providing e-commerce capabilities with advanced advertising options to its business. This upgrade will enable customizable homepage layouts, self-serve marketing tools, in-depth analytics, and support for third-party integrations like coupons and loyalty programs. The partnership aims to digitize stores and create a seamless online and in-store shopping experience for customers across nearly 200 Save Mart, FoodMaxx, and Lucky locations.

The Save Mart Companies have been working with Instacart since 2019 to enhance their omnichannel strategy, and this expanded partnership marks a significant step towards further connecting online and in-store shopping experiences. With the introduction of these new technologies, customers can expect a more personalized and convenient shopping experience at Save Mart, FoodMaxx, and Lucky stores in the near future.
