‘Experience Icelandic Flavors in Washington DC’

The upcoming cultural festival Taste of Iceland is set to take place in Washington D.C. on March 8-9, showcasing Icelandic production, culture, and arts to both locals and the media. Established as a prominent event, the festival has expanded to various cities across the United States in recent years.

This year’s program includes engaging activities such as a discussion with best-selling Icelandic authors Ragnar Jónasson and Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, informative sessions on geology and volcanology by Helga Kristín Torfadóttir, captivating musical performances by Icelandic musicians, and a delectable Icelandic menu curated by chef Bjarki Snær Þorsteinsson at Brasserie Beck.

Organized by Business Iceland in collaboration with various partners, including Blue Lagoon Iceland, Iceland Music, Icelandair, and others, Taste of Iceland is the first of four planned promotional events for this year. Following Washington D.C., the festival will move to Denver in May, New York in September, and Seattle in October.
