Fall Festival at Morning Pointe Raises Nearly ,000 for Chattanooga Students

The annual Fall Festival at the Morning Pointe of Chattanooga Senior Living campus recently brought together families, residents, staff, and community members in a vibrant celebration of seasonal traditions. This event, which encompasses both Morning Pointe of Chattanooga Assisted Living and The Lantern at Morning Pointe, serves not only as a source of entertainment but also as a vital fundraising initiative for local health care education.

The festival featured an array of activities, including live music, a classic car show, craft vendors, and a designated play area for children. Attendees were treated to an array of delicious culinary offerings, notably barbeque plates prepared by the facility’s culinary team, showcasing their commitment to quality and community engagement. “We are thrilled with the turnout this year,” stated Holly Holcomb, the life enrichment director at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga Assisted Living. “Many families expressed their enjoyment of the festival, and our vendors were so enthusiastic that every single one has already committed to returning next year.”

Throughout the day, community members enjoyed the festive atmosphere while supporting a cause that directly benefits local healthcare students. Approximately ,000 was raised for the Morning Pointe Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This foundation aims to provide scholarships for nursing and allied health students, create community partnerships, and support caregivers in advancing the care of seniors. Notably, the proceeds from the festival will be allocated to local institutions such as Chattanooga State Community College, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and several other colleges across the region, ensuring that funds are directed towards developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Ms. Holcomb reiterated the significance of these funds, stating, “All of the proceeds from this event are an investment in the future of our community. We are proud to support local students who aspire to work in healthcare.”

The Fall Festival not only serves as an important fundraiser but also acts as a cherished occasion for families and residents to come together, fostering a sense of community and goodwill.
