As a mother who travels extensively in an RV with my family, I have found that prioritizing self-care is crucial in balancing the demands of parenting, working, and homeschooling on the road. Spending nearly 100 percent of my time with my children is a privilege that comes with its own challenges, making it essential for me to carve out time for my own well-being.

Through trial and error, I have discovered the importance of integrating self-care practices into my daily routine. Taking care of ourselves is not selfish, but rather a necessity in order to be the best version of ourselves for our children and to truly savor the joys of life on the road.

From mindfulness exercises to setting boundaries with work, I have learned that self-care looks different for everyone. Whether it’s taking a moment to savor a cup of coffee in the morning or setting aside time for a hike in nature, finding what brings you peace and rejuvenation is key to maintaining balance as an RV mom.

By prioritizing self-care, I have found that I am better equipped to handle the challenges that come with life on the road, and to fully appreciate the adventures and experiences that come with traveling in an RV with my family.
