TikTok is stepping up its AI transparency efforts by partnering with Content Credentials, a technology from the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity. This announcement comes shortly after TikTok renegotiated its licensing agreement with UMG.
The new technology will automatically label AI-generated image and video content created on other platforms, in addition to content made with TikTok effects. Currently, the program only labels visual content, but TikTok plans to expand this to include audio as well.
This move towards increased transparency demonstrates TikTok’s commitment to providing users with more information about the content they are viewing on the platform. It also aligns with the company’s efforts to maintain a trustworthy and accountable environment for its community.
Overall, this initiative reflects TikTok’s dedication to embracing new technologies and tools to enhance the user experience and ensure the authenticity of the content shared on the platform.
