Spatial Corp, a software development toolkit provider for design, manufacturing, and engineering solutions and a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, has announced the addition of HOOPS Communicator, developed by Tech Soft 3D, to its portfolio of component technologies. This new addition enhances Spatial’s offerings, allowing for web-based visualization and interaction with 3D data across various design, engineering, and manufacturing workflows.
Jean-Marc Guillard, CEO of Spatial Corp, expressed excitement about the inclusion of HOOPS Communicator in their portfolio. He stated that this addition will empower Spatial’s customers to seamlessly implement robust web applications for engineering workflows, leveraging their existing 3D modeling kernel and 3D InterOp components for data conversion, preparation, and reuse.
With the combination of HOOPS Communicator and Spatial’s 3D modelers CGM and ACIS, as well as 3D InterOp, users can now access a range of web-based workflows. These include virtual twin applications for manufacturing processes like sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and collaborative inspection applications for parts and assemblies with geometry and product manufacturing information (PMI).
HOOPS Communicator offers comprehensive out-of-the-box API functionality for various engineering workflows on the web, eliminating the need to recreate the same functionality in WebGL or with open-source frameworks. This solution, unlike OEM alternatives, also allows for custom interaction with 3D data.
Spatial Corp continues to innovate and expand its offerings to provide cutting-edge solutions for the design, manufacturing, and engineering industries. The integration of HOOPS Communicator further solidifies Spatial’s position as a leader in software development toolkits for these sectors.
