Danbury’s Main Street to Close for Annual Street Festival

Danbury’s Main Street will be closed from 9 am to 7 pm on Saturday, June 1 for the highly anticipated Danbury Street Festival. Organizers have described the event as a showcase of the city’s core components and an effort to revitalize downtown Danbury.

The Street Festival, organized by CityCenter Danbury, aims to support local businesses and property owners by hosting cultural and arts events in the city’s downtown area. The family-friendly event will feature food, booths, and activities hosted by organizations such as the Danbury Hackerspace, Danbury Railway Museum, artists, vendors, and community organizations.

Attendees can look forward to a diverse range of performances on stage, including Flamenco dances, Indian drama performances, blues, rock, and even the Bethel Ukelele Group. Additionally, 11 breweries will participate in a mobile tap room, offering adult entertainment for festival-goers.
