The highly-anticipated official debut of the luxury electric sedan Hongqi EH7 has created quite a buzz in China. This stylish vehicle is set to go head-to-head with popular local models like the BYD Han sedan and the first Xiaomi electric car. The Hongqi EH7 marks the first release under the Hongqi New Energy sub-brand, signaling the start of exciting things to come in the luxury electric vehicle market.
Measuring in at a substantial 4980 x 1915 x 1490 mm with a wheelbase of 3000 mm, the Hongqi EH7 boasts a unique design that has earned it the nickname of the “smiling car.” The vehicle’s package includes impressive features such as a digital instrument panel with a 6-inch screen, a 15.5-inch media system with SoC Snapdragon 8155, a head-up display with augmented reality, two wireless smartphone chargers, heated and ventilated front seats with various adjustment options, a panoramic roof, and more.

The EH7 690 Pro and EH7 820 Pro models share the same motor but offer larger battery capacities of 85 kWh and 111 kWh, providing ranges of 690 km and 820 km respectively.
For those looking for even more power, the all-wheel drive EH7 640 Pro+ and 760 Pro+ models boast a 619 hp powertrain and 85 or 111 kWh batteries. These versions can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 3.5 seconds. With prices ranging from 31.8 to 42.9 thousand dollars, the Hongqi EH7 offers luxury, performance, and eco-friendliness all in one package.
