Mindful Wednesday – July 16th Edition

Enhancing Well-Being Through Mindfulness: Join Mindful Wednesdays and Thursdays at WPI

In an increasingly fast-paced world, the importance of mental well-being cannot be overstated. Recognizing the need for spaces that promote mindfulness and mental health, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) invites members of its community to participate in “Mindful Wednesdays” and “Mindful Thursdays,” designed to help alleviate stress and foster a culture of awareness and introspection.

These drop-in meditation sessions are open to all—students, faculty, and staff—regardless of their prior experience with meditation. A certified meditation instructor will lead each session, offering guidance tailored to both novices and seasoned practitioners alike. Participants will have flexibility in their engagement, as they can join the sessions either in-person or virtually, catering to diverse preferences and schedules.

Mindful Wednesdays take place from 12:15 PM to 12:35 PM at the Center for Well-Being, located in Daniels Hall Room 102E. Those unable to attend in person can connect through Zoom using the following link: Zoom Meeting.

In addition to the weekly sessions, participants can look forward to receiving a weekly email every Friday titled “Mindfulness Tools To-Go.” This resource will feature a collection of meditation techniques, poetry, and other materials that support mindfulness practices. The initiative aims to cultivate a supportive atmosphere where individuals can share experiences and insights related to their mindfulness journey.
