‘Now Open for Regional Conservation Partnership Program Applications in New York’

The sign-up period for entity-held conservation easements in the Berkshire-Taconic Region of New York through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) has been announced with an application deadline of June 7.

This funding is part of the RCPP Upland to Lowlands Climate-Resilient Cores and Connectors Project, which aims to address climate change, improve water quality, combat drought, enhance soil health, support wildlife habitat, and protect agricultural viability through partnerships. The project focuses on conserving land and increasing watershed resilience in eastern New York and adjacent areas.

All applications are competitive and ranked based on locally identified resource priorities and overall environmental benefit. Interested landowners within the project area in New York can contact Rensselaer Plateau Alliance (RPA) Project Manager, Alana Gerus at alana@rensselaerplateau.org, or their local NRCS Service Center for more information.
