Report warns that Apple’s internal chatbot will not be ready for iOS 18

Apple has officially announced that the annual WWDC event will kick off on June 10, and it is expected that the company will unveil the new iOS 18 software update during the event. While Apple has not confirmed the specifics of the update, rumors suggest that new AI functionality will be a key focus.

However, a report by the reputable Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has indicated that Apple’s in-house chatbot will not be ready for iOS 18. Instead, Apple is looking to incorporate technology from other companies for its AI improvements. Discussions with Google, OpenAI, and Baidu have been mentioned in previous reports, with Baidu’s AI features being limited to China.

If Apple does announce the iOS 18 update in June, developers can expect an initial beta version to be available on the same day. The public release for consumers is anticipated to be in the fall, likely in September. This timeframe aligns with the speculated launch of the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro.

In addition to iOS 18, Apple’s WWDC event will showcase updates for the iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. These updates are also expected to be released in the fall.
