Slipknot is set to embark on a summer tour to commemorate 25 years since the release of their self-titled debut album in 1999. The ‘Here Comes the Pain Tour’ will kick off in Noblesville, Indiana on August 6, following performances at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Florida and the Sonic Temple Festival in Ohio in May. The rockers will hit cities like New York, Toronto, Dallas, and Inglewood, California throughout August and September.
Founding member Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan expressed his excitement for the tour, stating that the band aims to create a more personal experience for fans on the anniversary. Guitarist Jim Root reflected on the band’s journey since their debut album, acknowledging their success and the fulfillment of their dreams.
Slipknot will wrap up their North American dates with shows at Knotfest Iowa festival in Des Moines on September 21 and the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California on October 11. Following this, they will head to Brazil and Mexico before concluding their tour in Europe in December. The tour will end with a pair of shows at London’s O2 Arena on December 20 and 21.
