This accolade, bestowed at the university’s Commencement ceremony, recognizes a graduate of The American Women’s College who excels academically while managing the responsibilities of career, family, and community service.

The Pathfinder Award was established by John Davis in honor of his wife, Trustee Emerita Robyn Davis, and serves as a symbol of leadership, integrity, and perseverance. Recipients are presented with a beautifully crafted glass globe, designed by renowned artist and Bay Path honorary degree recipient Josh Simpson, epitomizing the journey of those who dare to forge their own paths.

Cassie Barlow-Tucker’s educational pursuit began in 2020 at the age of 33, with the singular intent of creating a brighter future for her family. A resident of North Adams, Massachusetts, she is a mother of four children, two of whom are neurodivergent and two with severe disabilities. Her determination and resilience in the face of significant personal challenges underscore her commitment to both her family and her education.

Graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology – Counseling Foundations, Barlow-Tucker has distinguished herself academically and as a leader on campus. She holds pivotal roles on the North Adams Commission on Disabilities and as an E-Advisor at Boston Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she lends her voice to the Pediatric Palliative Care Family Advisory Council and contributes to educational policy and advocacy through her involvement with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and her local school district.

Currently, Barlow-Tucker is furthering her education by pursuing a graduate degree in Special Education at Bay Path University. She is also in the process of establishing her own Special Education Advocacy Business, aimed at providing much-needed support to families navigating the complexities of the education system.
