Mill Valley Film Festival to Recognize Jude Law with Special Tribute
The 47th Mill Valley Film Festival will pay tribute to actor Jude Law, as announced by the California Film Institute. Running from Oct. 3 through Oct. 13, the festival will honor Law with an onstage conversation and presentation of the MVFF Award, recognizing his contributions to the film industry.
Known for his versatile performances in a range of roles, Law’s career has defied categorization. From romantic and iconic characters to edgy and seductive portrayals, Law has consistently showcased his talent across genres. His latest performance in the film “Firebrand” exemplifies his skill and dedication to his craft.
During the tribute, key moments from Law’s illustrious career will be revisited, including his upcoming role as Henry VIII in the drama “Firebrand.” With accolades such as a BAFTA win and nominations for prestigious awards like the Oscars, Tonys, and Oliviers, Law’s experience in the industry spans three decades and includes collaborations with renowned directors.
In addition to his acting career, Law has ventured into producing with his co-founded production company Riff Raff Entertainment Ltd. Notable films produced under his banner include “True Things,” “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow,” and “Sleuth.” Law also leads the Disney+ series “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” and is involved in projects like Ron Howard’s “Eden” and Justin Kurzel’s “The Order.”
