Trillium Health Resources Receives Two Innovations Awards at Center for Integrative Health Conference
GREENVILLE, NC — Trillium Health Resources, a leading provider of mental health and substance use services in North Carolina, achieved significant recognition at the recent Center for Integrative Health (I2I) winter conference. The organization, in partnership with various collaborators, secured two prestigious Innovations Awards acknowledging their commitment to advancing healthcare and enhancing patient experiences through innovative strategies.
Trillium Health Resources and Victory Junction were jointly honored with the “Individual and Family Initiatives” Award. This collaboration aims to support families affected by health challenges by providing opportunities for therapeutic engagement through recreation. Victory Junction, located on 84 acres in Randleman, NC, offers an inclusive camping experience tailored to individuals with special needs and their families, at no charge. Participants can engage in a range of activities designed to foster personal growth, build self-confidence, and strengthen family bonds. The camp, equipped with an on-site medical center and accommodations for various dietary requirements, ensures that all campers have safe, enjoyable experiences, allowing families to relax and connect without worry.
In addition to the family initiative award, Trillium, alongside Monarch, The Autism Society of North Carolina, and the Physician Alliance for Mental Health, received the “Technology” Award. This accolade recognizes innovative programs that leverage technology to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Central to this initiative is the Trillium Ultimate Living Assistant (TULA), a technology-driven program designed to promote independence among clients with diverse needs. TULA enables individuals to take control of their health and well-being through a customized touchscreen device that facilitates medication management, health monitoring (including pulse and glucose checks), and safety alerts.
TULA’s design is tailored to meet the specific needs of each user, integrating health monitoring into everyday activities to improve overall health outcomes. Additionally, the program enhances digital literacy among participants, equipping them with essential skills to navigate online resources effectively and safely.
