2024 Global Pride Directory

This year, Pride celebrations are happening all over the world, providing opportunities to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. These events are not just about embracing diverse identities but also about highlighting the challenges faced by LGBTQ individuals and advocating for their rights.

One of the standout Pride events is the Budapest Pride Community Festival in Hungary, which runs from June 7 to 23. This festival is one of the longest Pride celebrations in Europe, featuring a range of events and activities throughout the city. The Rainbow Party at Budapest Park on June 22 is a major highlight, offering four dance floors, music performances, fashion shows, face painting, and fireworks at 10 P.M. Additionally, the Budapest Pride Parade on the same day is a must-attend event, starting in the park.

Various gay bars in Budapest, like Alterego, also host special pride parties during the month. These events often include drag performances, dance shows, and other exciting activities. With over 50 civil organizations, informal groups, and individuals coming together to organize nearly 100 programs, Budapest Pride has become one of the largest festivals in Hungary, attracting tens of thousands of participants.

Wherever you choose to celebrate Pride this year, whether in Budapest or elsewhere, remember to show your support for the LGBTQ+ community and spread love and acceptance in all its forms. Let’s make Pride a celebration of unity, diversity, and inclusivity.
