‘A Memorable Night, 25 Years in the Works’

Demi Moore and Wallis Annenberg were recognized by the Women’s Cancer Research Fund for their impactful contributions to raising awareness of cancer. The Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a program under the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, celebrated an Unforgettable Evening at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, where Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks served as honorary chairs.

The event brought together a group of dedicated women from Hollywood, philanthropists, and cancer research supporters for the past 25 years. Notable attendees included Jamie Alexander Tisch, Quinn Ezralow, Kelly Chapman Meyer, and Anastasia Soare among others. The gala chairs, co-chairs, and supporters like Tom Ford, Kris Levine, Judy and Leonard Lauder, and many others, gathered to support pioneering cancer research at medical and academic institutions in California and across the country.

During the evening, Wallis Annenberg was presented with the Unsung Hero award for her foundation’s outstanding work in fighting cancer and improving community well-being. Annenberg generously donated ,000,000 to the organization. Demi Moore was honored with the Courage award for her fearless advocacy and awareness-raising efforts. Moore expressed her gratitude for the award and credited her family, friends, and inspiring women for showing her what courage truly means.

The event also featured a video tribute from Michael Douglas, who pledged 0,000 in honor of his mother and WCRF co-founder, Anne Douglas. Music legend Sting took the stage with an acoustic guitar to perform a set that included some of his famous hits, adding to the memorable evening.
