Best Buy has unveiled new updates to its mobile app aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for its customers. The retail giant is leveraging AI technology to provide personalized features that cater to individual preferences and habits.
One of the key highlights is the personalized home screen, which is updated in real-time based on a user’s shopping history, membership status, and preferences. For instance, if a customer has recently purchased an appliance and has an upcoming installation appointment, those details will be prominently displayed on the home screen.
Additionally, the app now includes a “Discover” tab that showcases various sections like Best Buy Drops, Yes, Best Buy Sells That, and a new Shop with Video experience that delivers tailored video content based on browsing behaviors.
Other improvements include an enhanced digital wallet that offers seamless access to payment methods, rewards points, purchase history, and receipt preferences while shopping online and in stores. Furthermore, iOS users can benefit from live order tracking, allowing them to monitor every stage of the order fulfillment process.
Customers can opt-in to receive personalized push notifications tailored to their preferences, such as rewards updates and pre-order launches. They also have the option to “pin” specific features to their navigation bar for easy access to the information that matters most to them.
Brian Tilzer, Chief Data, Analytics, and Technology Officer at Best Buy, emphasized the importance of these enhancements in personalizing the consumer electronics experience. He stated, “Our goal is to inspire the discovery of amazing new technology and ensure it enriches our customers’ lives in the most relevant, seamless way possible.”
With these new features, Best Buy aims to provide a more tailored and relevant shopping experience for its customers, showcasing its commitment to leveraging data and technology to enhance customer satisfaction.
