Nordic Solar A/S is making significant strides in Sweden with the construction of the Hultsfred solar park, set to become operational by 2025. This impressive solar park will have a capacity of 92 MWp, generating 100 GWh of power annually, and will be the largest connection to the electricity grid in Sweden.
The project will be connected to the grid through a new large transformer substation, which will also link other solar park projects totaling nearly 200 MWp. Nordic Solar, the Danish company leading this initiative, already has 114 MWp under construction in Sweden, out of its extensive Swedish development portfolio of over 600 MWp.
Nikolaj Holtet Hoff, the CEO of Nordic Solar, emphasized the importance of investing in Sweden and highlighted the role of sunlit regions in promoting solar energy in the Nordic countries. Nordic Solar currently operates nearly 500 MWp of solar parks in Europe and has a further 2.3 GWp under development and construction, showcasing their commitment to renewable energy development.
What sets the Hultsfred solar park apart is its capacity, making it the largest connection to the grid in Sweden. With its groundbreaking initiatives and dedication to sustainability, Nordic Solar is leading the way in solar energy innovation.
