Rivian’s latest offering, the R3, promises to deliver a familiar yet innovative experience inside the cabin. With a large center touchscreen for controlling most features and a smaller display for the driver’s instrumentation, the R3 will also feature ample storage options including a front trunk (or “frunk”), as well as two gloveboxes – one in front of the front passenger and another in the center of the dashboard. Additionally, Rivian’s popular pop-out flashlight that recharges in the driver’s door will be included.
In terms of performance, the R3 does not disappoint. Offering single, dual, and tri-motor configurations like the R2, the R3 boasts impressive acceleration capabilities with the most potent versions of both models capable of reaching 0-60 mph in under 3.0 seconds. The larger-format battery cells provide over 300 miles of range on a single charge.
Despite its shorter wheelbase, the R3 promises to be a driver’s electric vehicle. Rivian CEO R.J. Scaringe describes the R3 as “dynamically incredible” and hints at an even more aggressive version to come. With its performance prowess and innovative features, the Rivian R3 is set to make a splash in the EV market.
