Post Malone’s country music album seems to be on the horizon, especially after his recent country setlist at Stagecoach. Fresh off covering Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” Post Malone went full-on country at “California’s Country Music Festival.”
The performance opened with a rendition of Tyler Childers’ “Whitehouse Road” and included classics like Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take the Girl,” Toby Keith’s “Who’s Your Daddy?,” and Randy Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses.” The highlight was certainly his cover of George Strait’s “Check Yes or No.”
Throughout the night, Post Malone was joined by an array of special guests, starting with country legend Dwight Yoakam for a spirited performance of “Little Ways.” Brad Paisley also made an appearance to collaborate on “I’m Gonna Miss Her” and “One More Last Chance.”
Sara Evans joined the lineup to sing her hit “Suds in the Bucket,” and the show closed with a raucous cover of Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee” featuring Brad Paisley. The crowd was clearly enthralled by the country-infused set.
