Upcoming Event: Liverpool Literary Festival 2024

Liverpool Literary Festival Returns to University Campus in October 2024

The University of Liverpool is gearing up to host its annual Liverpool Literary Festival on campus this year from Friday 4 October to Sunday 6 October 2024. This will mark the ninth edition of the popular festival, which promises to showcase a stellar lineup of TV personalities, scriptwriters, authors, poets, and more.

In past years, the festival has featured a diverse range of authors, including well-known broadcasting figures like Melanie Sykes and Stuart Maconie, as well as local favorites such as Frank Cottrell Boyce and Ashleigh Nugent. This year’s event is expected to follow suit, with organizers encouraging festival enthusiasts to mark their calendars early.

Greg Lynall, Festival Director and Interim Dean of the School of the Arts at the University of Liverpool, expressed his excitement for this year’s festival. He stated, “We’re delighted to announce the dates for the Liverpool Literary Festival. Despite being several months away, preparations are well underway, and we wanted to take the opportunity on World Book Day to remind everyone about this fall’s event.”

Lynall also teased the upcoming lineup of authors, promising some fantastic additions to the program.
