UK SME bank Cashplus is undergoing a major rebranding effort, with founder and CEO Rich Wagner announcing that the company will be changing its name to Zempler Bank. Wagner explained that after 15 years, Cashplus had “passed its sell-by date” and that the new name better reflects the company’s evolution into a fully-fledged bank with a focus on simplifying money management for UK microbusinesses.
The rebranding process will include a new website help center, a new customer service platform, and a new product offering geared towards larger microbusinesses. Wagner expressed pride in Cashplus’ achievements but emphasized the need for a name that aligns with the company’s growth and commitment to providing exceptional service to its customers.
As Zempler Bank, the SME bank reported record revenues of £52m and a profit after tax of £5.5m in 2023, following the acquisition of a full banking license in 2021. The rebranding is a strategic move to better position the company in the evolving financial landscape and cater to the changing needs of UK microbusinesses and consumers.
