In 1971, Disneyland hosted a 3-day Cinderella Festival to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film and the upcoming debut of Cinderella Castle at the Walt Disney World Resort. The festival featured garden tours led by Disneyland horticulturists, as well as multiple fashion shows each day. Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy recipes from Cinderella’s Royal Feast, which were included in a special 24-page booklet handed out at the event.
One lucky guest was crowned Princess Cinderella for the day each morning, adding to the magical atmosphere of the festival. The event was a hit with Disney fans who flocked to Disneyland to partake in the festivities and celebrate the beloved fairy tale. This Cinderella Festival was a memorable event that brought the magic of Disney to life for all who attended.
