Embrace Mindfulness with Weekly Meditation Sessions at WPI
In today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of peace and clarity has become increasingly essential for overall well-being. To help members of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) community cultivate mindfulness and reduce stress, the university is offering weekly drop-in meditation sessions—Mindful Wednesdays and Mindful Thursdays. These sessions aim to create a supportive environment for individuals seeking to enhance their mental clarity and emotional balance.
Weekly Meditation Offerings
The meditation sessions are designed to accommodate participants of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. Each session is led by a certified meditation instructor who will guide attendees through various mindfulness techniques. This ensures that everyone, regardless of prior experience, can benefit from the calming effects of meditation.
Mindful Wednesday sessions will be held from 12:15 PM to 12:35 PM at the Center for Well-Being, located in Daniels Hall 102E. For those who prefer a virtual experience, participation via Zoom is also available. The Zoom link for the Wednesday sessions can be found here: Join Zoom Meeting.
In addition to the Wednesday meetings, the WPI community is encouraged to attend Mindful Thursdays, which offer further opportunities to engage in mindfulness practices. Specific details regarding the Thursday sessions are available through university communications.
Supplementary Resources
To enhance the mindfulness experience throughout the week, participants will receive a weekly email every Friday titled “Mindfulness Tools To-Go.” This resource includes curated materials such as guided meditation links, inspirational poems shared during the week, and additional mindful living resources. This initiative is part of WPI’s commitment to fostering a culture of well-being and resilience among its members.
