Decatur, Ill. – A million solar canopy project is set to transform the Decatur Civic Center parking lot until the end of July. The project entails the installation of solar-powered parking canopies covering two-thirds of the lot. City officials have revealed that the canopies will resemble the design shown in the image below.
These new panels are expected to save the city 0,000 in energy costs annually. The best part? It comes at no cost to the City.
